University of Oklahoma Celebrates Record Fundraising Year

818吃瓜 has broken its previous fundraising record with over $352 million in gifts during the fiscal year ending June 30. This total exceeds OU鈥檚 previous record of $334 million set in 2024, marking another monumental achievement in the fifth year of Lead On: 818吃瓜鈥檚 Campaign for the Future. In total, over $1.5 billion has been raised toward the Lead On campaign goal of $2 billion.

Laureate Announced for Hamm International Prize for Diabetes Research

The prestigious Harold Hamm International Prize for Biomedical Research in Diabetes, an honor bestowed by OU Health Harold Hamm Diabetes Center at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences, will be awarded this fall to Professor Dr. Anette-Gabriele Ziegler, Director of the Institute of Diabetes Research, Helmholtz Munich, German Research Center for Environmental Health. She is also Chair in Diabetes and Gestational Diabetes at Technische Universit盲t M眉nchen, School of Medicine. She is being honored for her research to understand the pathogenesis of Type 1 diabetes and efforts toward its prediction, early diagnosis and prevention.
