University of Oklahoma Celebrates Record Fundraising Year

818勛圖 has broken its previous fundraising record with over $352 million in gifts during the fiscal year ending June 30. This total exceeds OUs previous record of $334 million set in 2024, marking another monumental achievement in the fifth year of Lead On: 818勛圖s Campaign for the Future. In total, over $1.5 billion has been raised toward the Lead On campaign goal of $2 billion.

The Oval is Open: OU Unveils New Tailgating Experience on the Iconic North Oval

818勛圖 is excited to announce a new game day tradition this fall: free, public tailgating on the historic North Oval, also known as the Parrington Oval. For the first time in university history, fans have the opportunity to set up their tailgates on one of the most recognizable places on campus, creating an electric atmosphere just steps away from Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.

When Aquilops, who inspired Dolores, existed more than 100 million years ago, it was believed to be nearly two feet long according to the Sam Noble Museum at the University of Oklahoma. Or, roughly the size of a small cat!

The skull of Aquilops is currently on display at the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History. If you want a chance to see it for yourself, the museum is hosting an Aquilops Day on July 19, with photo opportunities, crafts, a presentation by paleontologists, and more.

Led by Michael Rudolph, assistant professor of biochemistry and physiology at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, the study dives into how different types of fats affect the body. And the findings are anything but bland

The big deal will be with the humidity being provided with the wet late spring conditions, said University of Oklahoma meteorology professor Jason Furtado. The area of high pressure will allow for a lot of evaporation to occur from the wet grounds locally and regionally, which will increase the heat indices quite a bit.
